Marathon Procedures for Quality Checking

NEW DATA
On receipt of Final Tapes from the contractor they will be loaded into the Mincom Geolog Database.

The data will be QC'd by the Petrophysics Team for accuracy and completeness.

For Accuracy of

Headers: All data must be correct e.g. PON standard wellname, location.

Data: Data should include all curves over the total logged interval and repeats. This should be the most complete and accurate representation of the data.

Calibrations: Master and Field Calibrations are checked on the hardcopy prints to ensure that presented data is valid.

Completeness Check: Check data loaded into Geolog against hardcopy prints and tape listings.

The data will then be passed to QC Data and further checks will be conducted to ensure it has been loaded correctly.

HISTORICAL DATA
Checks are made against digital data held in offsite storage, Final Well Report, Marathon inhouse Database and what has actually been loaded onto QC Data.

Where there are any differences/discrepancies i.e. missing and/or incorrect data, Marathon will recall the original tapes, load onto inhouse database and QC the curves prior to submittal back to QC data.
