The benefits of the Datastore Well Data service are:
- CDA Participants are connected to the system and can download digital well log data (in a choice of three formats) and scanned image data for their use;
- Data supplied to the CDA DataStore no longer needs to be sent to the DTI, nor does released data need to be provided to the DTI’s Data Release Agents;
- CDA Participants can make new data available to partners through entitlement without having to physically copy it to them;
- All CDA companies (and the DTI) can operate from a common and complete catalogue of basic scanned image well data;
- CDA Participants have the option of submitting a digital scanned image instead of hardcopy;
- Data is easier to find with a single source for digital and scanned image well log data;
- Some CDA members have elected to use the CDA DataStore to augment basic data set with value-added and proprietary data;
- Data Release Agents can access the repository to obtain data for preparation of data release products.
